Well&#8230; not only!<br>When we paint, we need to keep in mind the contrast between light and shade. This is why I wanted to do another <strong>Decorative Painting Tutorial<\/strong> and explain how to highlight with drybrushing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlights are very important when we paint, because both shades and highlights, can help us giving a more realistic look to our paintings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-heading\">So, when we paint, we need to give the same importance to highlights too.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It doesn&#8217;t matter if we are painting an easy project (like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marikamorettidesigns.com\/en\/project\/decorative-painting-winter-trio-tags\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Winter Trio Tags<\/a>) or a more difficult one (like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marikamorettidesigns.com\/en\/project\/decorative-painting-believe-in-the-magic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Believe in the Magic<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marikamorettidesigns.com\/project\/country-painting-fall-lover\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fall Lover<\/a>), highlights are extremely important to complete our paintings. As I often say, for me brushes are like shoes\u2026 I personally always want to have more and more, and in general, as well as shoes, you need to try them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I honestly work very well with the Mezzaluna brush by <a href=\"https:\/\/dynastybrush.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dynasty,<\/a> which comes in different sizes, and I change the size of the brush according to the area I want to highlight.<br>Regarding paints, I always use the <a href=\"https:\/\/decoart.com\/americana\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DecoArt Americana<\/a> acrylics and in my patterns, you can always find the exact value I used to highlight a specific element.
